collage: mixed media on cardboard

As the art enthusiast will be able to ascertain, my collages traverse from the mind and soul through my extremities, and ultimately onto the ensuing canvas. The creative inspirations come from powerful revelations triggered by internal images that were developed from my adolescence into adulthood. Although these mental pictures (images) rarely announce themselves at first try, I find it challenging and enlightening to take a random collection of objects and transform them into a physical truth.

The abstract world of developing collages has worked hand-in-hand with opening up new doors and further enhancing my visual creativity. It started for me as using scraps from old magazines, color papers, random words, letters, numbers, and small objects. Later, I supplemented my works with mixed-media which added a whole new dimension. In conjunction with this, my artistic eye now finds potential in things that only my intellect can substantiate.

This subsequent level of insightfulness has driven me to further trust in my deepest core, releasing certain inhibitions and further augmenting my creative abilities. With this catalytic addition, my true visions have allowed the art to become an abstract-reality and, going forward, it will only be bound by the creativity of my own awareness.
